In a building with so much history, it’s hard to be boring. Each suite features different artwork that belonged to Swans founder, Michael Williams. His collection is showcased throughout the hotel rooms and no two rooms are alike. Exposed industrial beams, brickwork, 14-foot ceilings and split level lofts make up the foundation of most suites.
They just don’t build them like this anymore.
Sleeps 1-2
Enjoy the comfort and convenience of a cozy studio suite with a queen or king bed and a full kitchen. Located above Swans’ historic pub, it’s an ideal choice for solo travellers and shorter stays. Accommodates up to 2 guests.
Sleeps 1-4
This comfortable one-bedroom suite features a queen bed in a separate bedroom and a living area with a sofa bed. A full kitchen provides added convenience, making the suite a great option for couples, families, or guests enjoying a longer stay. Some suites may be located above the pub. Accommodates up to 4 guests.
Sleeps 1-6
Travelling with a group can be challenging. Sometimes you just need your own space. How about a two bedroom apartment downtown? It’s really the best of both worlds.
Share dinner and drinks, then turn in for the night even if the others want to stay out late. Or just have the extra space for shopping bags. The best thing about all that space is you can do whatever you want.
Our in-room entertainment system provides you control with our casting solution. Connect to your secure in room wifi and then cast movies, TV programs, music and games with apps like Netflix, Disney Plus and YouTube all right from your phone.
Sleeps 1-6
Needing to escape the winter? Looking to spend some time in Victoria or interested in travelling and living in a new city for a month or two? Swans Hotel has been in operation for over 30 years, originally built as a condo building and then converted into a hotel we offer all the comfort of home with the added amenities of a full service hotel.
Each condo space is very generous in size with 14 foot ceilings and well appointed with original art from the private collection of the original owner, Michael Williams. When Michael passed away in 2000 he left Swans to UVic and as such all proceeds from Swans go back to support Student Services at the University of Victoria.
Swans is located across from the inner harbour in downtown Victoria. Great restaurants, shopping and plenty of walking paths surround Swans. We also provide weekly cleaning of your suite through our housekeeping services along with a 24 hour front desk that can help with any questions you have during your stay.
Swans is rich in history, being the third oldest brewpub in BC, with a newly renovated pub and brewery onsite you don’t have to go far to sample some of the great food and beverage that Victoria has to offer. If you prefer to stay in we also have a full service liquor store on site and can help you with any shopping needs that you have.
If you were previously spending your winters south of the border we think that you will equally enjoy what Victoria has to offer. With no exchange rate to worry about or international travel insurance living at Swans offers you the travel adventure of a new city without a lot of the hassle.
